Ratification draft law of the CoE Convention against Trafficking in Human Organs – Chamber of Deputies approval

The draft law “Ratification and execution of the Council of Europe Convention against trafficking in human organs (Santiago de Compostela, 25/03/2015)” has been adopted unanimously by the Chamber of Deputies and it will be soon examined by the Senate. The aim of this Convention is to improve the efficacy of the fight against criminal activities in this domain, through the introduction of a series of criminal offences in the juridical systems of the States Parties. It also strengthens two essential principles within the framework of the organ donation: the free informed consent and the free-cost donation.
