€ 3 million Italian contribution to the CEB Fund for migrants and refugees

In the wake of unprecedented refugee flows reaching Europe, in 2015 the Council of Europe Development Bank set up the “Migrant and Refugee Fund” (MRF), a new financial tool aimed at supporting national efforts to create and renew reception and transit centers for migrants. On 16 June 2017 in Nicosia, at the last CEB joint meeting, the Governor Wenzel welcomed the Italian announcement of a € 3 million contribution to the MRF, bringing its budget to around € 24 million.
